Topic: Quantifying soil spatial variability for sustainable resource management

Speaker: Dr. Asim Biswas

        Assistant Professor of Soil Physics

        McGill University CANADA

Date: 14:30-15:30 20th June

Place: Seminar room NO. 2 Huilian Building

Dr. Biswas obtained PhD in Saskatchewan with supervisor of Prof. Dr. Bing Si then he worked as post doc in CSIRO Australia and as an Environmental Soil Scientist before he took over professorship at McGill university in Canada. Dr. Biswas is an expert on soil physics and vodose zone hydrology. His main research interest is to understand the soil water dynamics at different scales (point to field to watershed) their controls and the interaction among the controlling factors.
